Who is Kevin Oeser?
Kevin Oeser is a screenwriter, director, editor, and playwright. His short films have played at festivals around the world and been viewed millions of times online and featured by Funny or Die, Vimeo, CNN, and the New York Times. His feature script Terrible Parents was produced in audio form by the Black List Table Reads podcast and was listed among the best podcast episodes for that year. Kevin wrote for YouTube Red's first animated comedy series Paranormal Action Squad and also was the head writer for YouTube's Mariah Carey Christmas special. Kevin was included on The Tracking Board's 2015 Young and Hungry list of the top up-and-coming writers in Hollywood.
On the stage, Kevin has studied and performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade, Los Angeles for many years. He also wrote and directed The Milford Project, a musical comedy that was named Best of the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Kevin is well-known in the comedy world as a film and television editor. He cut Comedy Central’s hit show Another Period and the cult-favorite Garfunkel and Oates for IFC. He also edited the Sundance hit Hell Baby and some of Funny or Die’s most popular videos.
Kevin is constantly developing feature film and television projects. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and insecurities.
Kevin likes people to know went to the California state finals of the national spelling bee when he was fourteen years old. He lost in the third round on “solfatara.” To date he thinks it’s a stupid word but he sure as heck knows how to spell it.
